Croeso!

Our five exclusive, luxurious cottages nestle on the private, wooded, 2000 acre Wern Estate between Porthmadog and Criccieth on the Llyn Peninsula in an area of outstanding natural beauty.  Lovingly restored, each cottage has its own charm and all offer outstanding facilities. This is the gateway from which to enjoy the very best that this glorious region has to offer.  All houses are 5* graded by the Welsh Tourist Board.

Owned by the Williams-Ellis family (Portmeirion), Wern Holiday Cottages offer seclusion and comfort and guarantee the perfect "get away from it all" holiday. We love all things local and independent and seek quirkiness and creativity. We can arrange a surprise for your special celebration, offer a welcome meal if required and our aim is for you to leave the hustle and bustle of daily life behind. Unsurprisingly many of our guests return time after time with our cottages becoming almost second homes for them.

We provide welcome packs of homemade cake and jam; delicious Bramley toiletries; our own logs at a minimal rate; snuggly welsh blankets; fine thread crisp white Egyptian cotton bedding; pure down duvets (with hypo-allergic if required) and fluffy house towels (plus beach towels in summer);  Our welcome meals use local produce and the menu changes with the seasons. Guests can order either a "standard" or "vegetarian breakfast pack. One well behaved small dog is welcome by prior arrangement. There are livestock within adjacent fields and so the usual countryside access policies apply with strict use of lead and absolutely no free roaming.

Carregfelen is a beautiful, unusual and quirky 14th Century Manor House set in extensive gardens with breathtaking views across the surrounding hills. Sleeping up to 11 guests, it was extended in the 1920's by the David's great uncle - Clough Williams-Ellis - the visionary architect who designed nearby Portmeirion.

Pont Faen was our latest addition and is tucked away in a secluded location with a stream to the front and a private lake to the rear. Single storey, and sleeping up to 6 guests, there is an eco-friendly, wood-fired hot tub in the garden. Pont Faen is perfect for those gusts looking for a hideway and that little extra peace and quiet.

Tyn Llech was the first cottage that the family restored.  Sleeping up to 6 guests, this adorable split-level cottage is serene and stylish and has been lovingly designed in harmony with its surroundings. The lawned gardens offer distant sea views.

Hebog Bach is a charming single storey cottage which sleeps up to 6 guests. Originally a barn, it's elevated setting offers unparalleled views across the Llyn Peninsula. The landscaped gardens are enclosed by sturdy walls making this the perfect choice for families with young children.

Y Boncyn is located off the beaten track in a tranquil location among our private woodlands. This charming cottage has been thoughtfully designed to offer superb facilities with a clever mix of old and new. Sleeping up to 4 guests, your only neighbours will be a flock of curious sheep. The eco-friendly, wood-fired hot tub is to the front of the cottage with views across the rural landscape.
